The key takeaway here is not where these these ships are heading to, but the fact that Iranian warships have entered the Atlantic Ocean for the first time ever and, moreover, in the middle of the resurrection of the US-Iran negotiations on the 2015 nuclear accord. We don’t need to look anywhere else for evidence that the Biden’s administration’s appeasement policy towards Iran is emboldening the Islamic Republic. This is consistent with more aggressive behavior of Iran’s proxies (e.g., Hamas and the Houthis) in the Middle East. It is safe to assume that if Biden signs a a weak nuclear agreement with Iran, it will only serve to destabilize the region for many years to come
