Recent protests in Cuba have been met by the Cuban government with lesser force than previous. Perhaps Cuba is also trying to appeal to the US government by seeming less abusive of human rights.

I gather that the protestors are remaining dispersed to prevent a big crackdown in a single place.


It's also possible that ammunition supplies from Russia have dried up I suppose.
