here we are at the end of the week with no sustained upward momentum on dow touching the stop and BAC breaking thru level as an attractive buy - are these still considerations as false break downs or is it just a crappy market thx bob
Hi Bob, yes not looking good this week. DOW is still trading decently well considering the market. I'm disinclined to stop out into the close today.
BAC I think is hurting from the poor outlook from Credit Suisse. It was below my entry for a brief period on Tuesday, which wasn't the set-up I was looking for.
The chart looks bullish in the medium term to me. In the short term there could some profit taking as it is around trend line resistance, but the way it has rallied after what looks like a completed correction makes me think it will give way before long.
Fundamentally speaking, it fits with my hypothesis from last week that the government is throwing money at any possible solution to the energy crisis. I believe wind turbines use a lot of copper. I'd want to investigate whether the recent rally in copper is indicative of demand from these companies.
