So we have reports about Chinese authorities rationing power to meet environmental goals. So we may have another bit of inflation from Chinese manufactured goods shortages to add on top of energy price and labour shortage inflation? The cynical part of me wonders if China wants to try to exacerbate inflation in the west to see what happens, but I am sure they want a cleaner environment. Those reforms look painful - maybe one thing at a time would be better for the people?
